How to Enable/Disable ECDSA Host Key on the SSH Server for Windows

Configuration to enable or disable the use of the ECDSA Host key for server-client-authentication is performed by modifying the registry key
bAllowECDSAHostKey

The key is:

The default value is 0x01. (ECDSA Host Key is enabled to be used for server-to-client authentication). 0x00 will disable its use for server-to-client authentication.

The following is the procedure to change the registry key to enable or disable the use of the ECDSA Host Key.
1. Click the Start button at the bottom left corner of your screen
2. Click RUN
3. Type REGEDIT
4. Click OK
5. Select Registry Key:

6. Select the menu item Edit and then click on Modify
7. Enter the new value for the bAllowECDSAHostKey and click OK
