GSW ConnectBot is a commercial-grade client. As such, upon the first launch, it attempts to connect to our Lightweight Mobile Device Manager (GSW LADS) to obtain licensing and configuration information. This is actually our Zero Touch feature which saves a considerable amount of time for large customers with warehouses, etc. with hundreds of devices.
However, if GSW LADS is not installed on a Windows device and on an accessible network, then typically the user cancels out of the discovery and is left at the GSW LADS and Licensing screen. At this point, they have to tap the back arrow on the device or swipe (left to right) to get back to the Host List Configuration screen (Home Screen).
Unfortunately, this can be confusing to a portion of users and we plan to resolve this by placing the user at the Host Lists Configuration screen (Home Screen) when GSW LADS discovery is canceled.
Secondly, please be sure you have entered the app with the Admin Icon as shown below on the left with the gear. Worker mode is a stripped-down version of the application so users in commercial environments will be unable to modify the connection settings. To switch between modes you must long press on the application icon and force stop the application and then open the desired mode of operation.
